SOBE’s Engineer for a Day:
On February 12, 2010 Salas O’Brien launched its
Engineer for a Day Program.
Salas O’Brien has partnered with the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity - Sigma Iota Chapter in Oakland to empower and assist innercity high school students interested in careers in engineering.
SOBE’s Engineer for a Day Program is an annual event, which allows youth to experience hands on work such as reviewing drawings and visiting a job site. The day will also consist of classroom style learning with a tour of our Oakland office, presentations by engineers, and a chance to talk with engineers in different disciplines.
Salas O’Brien and Omega Psi Phi are proud partners
of the SOBE Engineer for a Day Program and are committed to making a
